Notifications and reminders
Choose what CogniPage tells you about, and the hours when it stays silent.
CogniPage can nudge you, but it starts silent: push notifications are off until you switch them on. Once on, you choose each category separately, and set hours when nothing reaches you at all.
Turning them on
Switch on Push notifications. Your operating system asks for permission the first time; CogniPage only remembers the setting as "on" once permission is actually granted. If your OS has already blocked notifications for CogniPage, the panel says so — allow it in your system settings, then switch this back on.
Send test notification proves the whole chain end to end. Use it if you are not sure whether reminders are reaching you.
What CogniPage will tell you about
| Category | When it fires | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Review reminders | When recalls are due — the nudge that keeps knowledge from fading. | On |
| Streak reminders | An evening heads-up when today's streak is still at risk. | On |
| Unfinished reading | Occasionally, about something you read but never put into review. Never while recalls are due. | On |
| Learning insights | What you are improving on, what is slipping, and what to focus on next. | On |
| Credit alerts | A quiet heads-up when your AI credits are running low. | On |
These are all gated by the master switch — with push off, none of them fire.
Reflection reports
Separately, CogniPage can generate a reflection on a schedule and tell you when it is ready: daily, weekly or monthly. All three are off by default. The Reflection page is always available regardless of whether you switch any of them on.
Quiet hours
Pause notifications overnight silences everything between the two times you set — 10 pm to 8 am out of the box. Anything that would have fired during those hours simply waits.
Clicking a notification
Notifications are actionable: clicking one brings CogniPage forward and opens the page it is about, so a review reminder lands you on your due cards rather than on Home.
Push on, review reminders on, quiet hours on, everything else as it comes. That is one useful nudge a day. Add weekly reflections once you have a few weeks of history worth summarising.
