Suggestions

The next best thing to do right now, ranked by what it does for your retention.

Suggestions answer one question: given everything CogniPage knows about your reading and your recall history, what is the single most useful thing to do right now? Each one comes with a reason and a button that takes you straight there.

The four kinds

SuggestionWhy it appearsIt takes you to
Review due cardsCards have come due; reviewing them now is the highest-value thing available.Flashcards
Drill a weak topicOne topic is failing far more often than the rest — worth attacking directly rather than waiting for the schedule.Flashcards, scoped to it
Re-read the materialRecall keeps failing on a topic, which usually means the original understanding was thin. Cards cannot fix that; re-reading can.The source material
Take a breakYou have done enough. More reviewing in one sitting produces diminishing returns.Nothing — that is the point

Priorities

Each suggestion carries a priority, so a long list still has an obvious first item:

  • Urgent — do this first; it has the biggest impact on your retention right now.
  • High — important, tackle it soon.
  • Medium — worthwhile when you have time.
  • Low — nice to do, not pressing.
  • Optional — only if you want to go the extra mile.

Refreshing and dismissing

Suggestions regenerate as your data changes, and Refresh rebuilds them immediately from your latest activity — worth pressing after a big reading or review session. Dismissing one removes it; it will come back only if the situation that produced it recurs.

An empty list is a good sign.

Nothing due, nothing slipping, nothing left unreviewed. Read something new, and suggestions will have something to say tomorrow.

Generating suggestions uses AI, so it needs an account and credits.
