Removing CogniPage

Uninstall the app and delete every trace of its data from your machine.

CogniPage removes like any normal application: no survey, no confirmation loop, and nothing left running in the background. Removing the app and removing its data are two separate steps, so choose whether you want both.

Uninstalling on macOS

  1. Quit it properly

Choose Quit CogniPage from the menu-bar icon — closing the window only hides it.

  2. Move it to the Bin

Open Applications and drag CogniPage to the Bin.

  3. Optionally revoke the permissions

System Settings → Privacy & Security — Accessibility, Screen Recording, Automation, Camera. Removing the app makes them inert either way.

Uninstalling on Windows

  1. Quit it properly

Right-click the system-tray icon and choose Quit CogniPage.

  2. Uninstall

Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find CogniPage, choose Uninstall.

Deleting the data it stored

Uninstalling does not always remove your local data. Delete the folder yourself if you want every trace gone:

  • macOS~/Library/Application Support/io.CogniPage.CogniPage
In Finder press G, paste that path, then move the folder to the Bin.
  • Windows%APPDATA%\CogniPage\CogniPage
Press Win+R, paste that path, then delete the folder.

That folder holds the local database, your preferences, the diagnostic logs and any downloaded speech model.

Sign out before you uninstall.

Signing out clears your saved session from the macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager. Uninstalling without doing so leaves that one entry behind.

Deleting your cloud data too

Deleting local data does not delete anything synced to your account. Either use Settings → Developer → Clear all data before uninstalling — which wipes both — or email support@cognipage.io and we will delete the account and everything attached to it.

Or just pause it

If the problem is that CogniPage is reading too much rather than that you want it gone: switch Settings → Tracking to Track nothing, or withdraw the Accessibility permission. Both stop capture completely and neither loses anything you have learned.
